Michigan Day 7
This was the last full day we were to spend at the cabin on the lake. When we woke up to wind, overcast and temps in the 60s, our plans became pretty easy to schedule.
We drove into Marshall to Dark Horse Commons for breakfast. Mary had a delicious mushroom and cheese omelette and waffle and David had the breakfast bowl.

Next was a visit to Louie’s Bakery in downtown Marshall. Of course, there were a lot of mouth-watering choices in the case. We chose a couple cinnamon rolls and decided to have them for dessert later tonight.

We had noticed an interesting store next to the bakery called Grandma’s Toys and Treats. After our visit to the bakery we walked into the store to take a look. It was all children’s toys, games, puzzles, and educational items. We, of course, had to get something for our grandson.

As our purchases were being packed up, Grandma asked us if we came in because of the specials and advertisements online or because we were at the bakery. We confirmed that it was because of foot traffic from the bakery. Market research is always valuable.

One more chance for coffee today – we drove to Bellevue MI to Shebrews 201. This place was once a railroad station.

This was to be our last night at the cabin so after finishing off the leftovers and the Louie’s cinnamon rolls we took one last paddle on Stuart Lake/Upper Brace Lake.

Tomorrow we planned on heading east towards Detroit.
