Michigan Day 12
Tuesday, July 22:
We were leaving Milwaukee early so we started the morning at Stone Creek Coffee. The shop on Downer St. in Milwaukee is in the same neighborhood.

Stone Creek never disappoints. Mary had the fresh fruit and yogurt and I had the egg and cheese sandwich
We said our goodbyes and headed south towards home. Forty-five minutes later our cups were almost empty so we stopped for hot coffee in Clinton, WI just outside Beloit. The Little Castle Coffee Shop (we visit the ‘castle’ frequently since we spend more time driving to/from Milwaukee). Their medium roast is always good and they are open until noon on the weekends.
We arrived home around noon! It had rained quite a bit at the house during our trip so we had very long grass! We unloaded, unpacked, and started mowing. Nothing snaps you back from a vacation high quicker than running a weed-wacker!
We had both come home very tired which some would say is a sign of a great trip. Over the 12 day “tour”, we traveled the width of Michigan, did two kayak races, biked 40 miles, enjoyed good food, and spent an afternoon at an auto repair shop. We brought home some great memories.
So where are we going next year. We’ll see. Of course, any suggestions or comments are welcome.
