This place was really cool. Literally and figuratively. The temperature was in the mid 80’s so stepping into air conditioning felt great. We purchased tickets for the tour and after a short wait the guide took us through the hidden door into an amazing setting. We walked down the center of this small town main street, cars on either side. Mostly older, there were some more current-day cars. But all could be defined as classic.
Okoboji Classic Cars is a full service restoration shop as well as a car dealership. Every car along the ‘street’ was for sale. No prices on the windshield though.
Many of the ‘buildings’ along the street had small displays but many were actually painted 3-D, a very cool effect.
If you are ever visiting Lake Okoboji or Arnolds Park in north-west Iowa, I highly recommend stopping by for a tour.
