No, not that PCB.
We noticed almost immediately upon our arrival that the locals referred to the town as PCB. This took a little getting used to because I remember in my younger days PCB’s (polychlorinated biphenyls) had a bad reputation. In Florida, it means something much better.
Today we discovered Parlor Doughnuts-again, at Panama City Beach. Parlor was our first stop on the donut tour in Nashville. These are amazing donuts. They were already out of the Sandy Beach (cinnamon sugar with glaze) so I had to “settle” for the Bourbon Carmel. Note: images are larger in real life.
After our doughnuts and coffee, we drove to Frank Brown Park for a bike ride and pickleball. We began the bike ride on the Gayle’s Trail bike trail. This trail is located in Conservation Park and becomes Baxely Homestead Trail. After about an hour, we returned to the park, packed up the bikes and went to the park community building to play some pickleball.
It costs $5 per person to play on three indoor pickleball courts for the whole day. There were quite a few players so we waited for our turn and played a number of games. Although there were some players that were real competitive, we had great time and met a lot of nice people. We were there for over two hours and finally left exhausted.
We walked to Schooners again for supper. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits and Mary ordered Drunken Shrimp bowl. Excellent food.
